I tried Lagree for the first time, and I’ve never gotten my ass kicked so hard in a work out before… It was HARD. I went in really naive thinking I had been doing F45, and Club Pilates, and other Class Pass workouts, how hard could it be… It was so fucking hard oh my god.
First off, Lagree is a completely different kind of reformer, you’re all over it, that piece of equipment is used in SO MANY WAYS. Second, the movements and burnout is insane for your muscles. Normal pilates, you may get that burn, and they’re like oh here let’s stretch…. Not lagree.
According to the Lagree Fitness website… “The Lagree Method, unlike Pilates, is unique in that it is the only workout (aside from those attempting to counterfeit the method) to effectively balance high-intensity with low-impact movements.” The burn is like this insane sensation I don’t think I’ve ever felt before, and I was SO SORE walking out of there. I don’t know what happened, but I was like.. should I start doing this all the time? Everyone in there had such strong cores, and absolutely killed the workout, I was the one struggling most haha. I could keep describing the method, but the article that explains Lagree is more helpful so read it here.I haven’t decided if I’m going to go back or not yet, but honestly it was the most challenged I’ve felt trying something new in a while!
