Hand tied hair extensions are honestly the best investment I’ve made to date. I am so obsessed with them, and I’ve been getting them on & off since 2020 with Ashlee. I’ll get into what they are and the method we use, but if you’re interested Ashlee’s links will be at the bottom of the post!

Here’s What You Can Ask For:

I get the Coco Marie hair extensions, these are the 20” I believe? We’ve cut them to blend with my current hair and I couldn’t be more in love. The extensions are hand tied, and she usually does two beaded rows of hair for me 🙂 For the first time in like a decade i have gone back to my natural color. This is actually my natural hair color, so not much to say on that! If you have darker hair you know how quickly it fades / becomes dull. If you can ask for a gloss & maybe an all over color just to get your hair looking extra glossy but, there’s nothing crazy when it comes to the coloring.

Here’s What to Expect For Cost:

I’ll keep it as real as I can with you – this is an investment! If you’re serious about getting hand tied extensions, I would research who you go to beforehand. For pricing you can expect upwards of $1K because it’s a process. Move-ups depending on who you go to as well, and I don’t want to publish pricing since that depends on the work Ashlee has to do, but I’ll give ranges.

For Cut & Color my friends & I go to different people and we pay anywhere from $150-$300 just for that service.

For hair extensions – you might also be paying for the stylist to cut & color those – so budget accordingly.

For the actual install – this takes a few hours – especially if you’re like me and have a ton of hair – so budget anywhere from $500 – $1,000.00. Again, these are just estimates so you know before you get in the chair for a consultation!

For move ups – that’s a service too – so budget $150 – $500 for that!

This is why this beauty service is 1000% an investment – but it was one worth making for me when I had a ton of hair damage and breakage, and needed to give my own hair a break.
