I had never heard of dry brushing until a year ago, but since then I have been hooked! It’s become an essential part of my daily routine and I can already see the difference in my skin. So, what is dry brushing? And why is it so great? Let me explain.
What Is Dry Brushing?
Dry brushing is exactly as it sounds – brushing your skin with a dry brush. You use a special body brush with firm bristles to lightly brush your skin in long sweeping motions. It’s important to make sure that the bristles are firm but not too rough; you want them to be comfortable and pleasant on your skin. Start from your feet and work up towards your heart, always brushing towards the center of your body. The motion helps stimulate lymphatic flow and improve circulation, making it a great way to reduce puffiness in the morning and wake yourself up for the day ahead.

The benefits of dry brushing are much more than just improved circulation! Firstly, it exfoliates dead skin cells from the surface of your body which makes way for new cells to come through, giving you glowing skin all over.
